Back by popular demand, our Fundamentals of Nursing event is an opportunity to learn, share and reflect on some of the core aspects of nursing care.
Nursing staff play a vital role in delivering safe, effective and person-centred care. Join expert speakers as they explore key areas of nursing practice, including continence care, ageing well, record keeping and fitness to practise. During this online event, you'll hear from:
- Vicky Sandy-Davis, RCN Independent Health and Social Care Lead Nurse, on the importance of maintaining high standards of record keeping.
- Caroline Holt, NMC Employer Link Service Adviser (South West), with an introduction to the NMC and Fitness to Practise.
- Dr Lucy Pollock, Consultant Geriatrician and author, on ageing well and the importance of person-centred care.
- Professor Nikki Cotterill, Professor of Nursing in Continence Care, on improving continence outcomes.
This free event is open to nursing staff working in independent health and social care services across England, including registered nurses, nursing support workers, student nurses and student nursing associates. RCN members and non-members are welcome.
Please note a certificate of attendance is not issued at this event, however it is still appropriate for nursing staff wishing to use this as CPD for NMC revalidation - see the RCN’s guidance on revalidation.
Please be aware, when you join this event your name, email address and organisation may be visible to other attendees. The meeting may be attended by both RCN members and non-members.
