Learn new skills to assess the trustworthiness of online information.
In today’s digital environment, we rely heavily on online information to support nursing practice, study, and everyday decision making. But not everything we find online is accurate.
Join us for a one-hour session to develop your essential evaluation skills for nursing. Together, we’ll cover how to assess whether information you find on the web is reliable or not.
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
- Recognise why evaluating online information is essential for nursing practice and study
- Use the SIFT (Stop, Investigate, Find, Trace) method to critically assess online information including web pages and AI-generated content
- Quickly screen search results from databases like CINAHL.
This interactive session includes activities throughout, allowing you to apply your learning with support and guidance from our expert health librarians.
