Discover how to make Google Scholar work for you in this bite-size, beginner‑friendly session.
We’ll explore what Google Scholar is, what it searches, and how it differs from traditional academic databases. You’ll learn its key strengths and limitations and when it’s the right tool for your research, and when it isn’t. Through a quick live demonstration, we’ll cover essential skills such as finding full‑text articles, tracking citations, setting up alerts, saving papers to your library, and linking Google Scholar to RCN Library resources.
By the end of the session, you’ll feel confident navigating Google Scholar and using it effectively as part of your wider research toolkit.
