This is your chance to connect with fellow RCN members from across your branch area, share experiences, build your network and find support from colleagues who understand the challenges facing nursing staff today.
Why attend?
Whether you're new to branch meetings or a regular attendee, you'll be warmly welcomed. Branches need active members more than ever, and this is your opportunity to have a say in the issues that matter most to you, your workplace and the nursing profession.
The meeting will provide a safe and supportive space to discuss local, regional and national workplace issues, share concerns and hear what support is available.
Together, nursing staff have a stronger voice. By getting involved in your branch, you can help shape decisions, influence change and strengthen support for members across the profession.
Know Your Worth campaign session on NHS job evaluation
Join a special session on the RCN's Know Your Worth campaign and learn more about:
- job evaluation
- the nursing and midwifery profile review
- how the campaign is working to secure fair recognition for nursing staff
What happens at the AGM?
The AGM is where members elect the branch executive team for the coming year and ratify local reps who support members across the branch.
If you'd like to play a more active role, positions including chair, secretary and treasurer are open for election, along with regular committee member seats.
Read the branch officer role descriptions in advance and attend this event to meet the team.
Written expressions of interest submitted before the AGM will take precedence over nominations made on the day so it's worth submitting a nomination in advance.
