Tees Valley branch annual general meeting (AGM)
30 Sep 2026, 14:00 - 16:00
Choose event information:
This AGM will be another chance to network with other RCN members in your branch area. There is strength in numbers and so your support will mean a lot to the branch's activists.
Book your place and add this event to your calendar.
This will be a safe space to discuss any issues at work that are concerning you as well as any regional or country-wide professional or workplace issues.
If you've never been before, don't let that put you off. Branches need active members more than ever. If workers don't stand up for their rights now they'll find themselves losing them before too long.
At an AGM, the branch's executive team for the following year is elected by those present. There need to be at least 10 members present for the meeting to be 'quorate' (ie. for the results of the meeting to be valid). Roles available include branch chair, secretary and treasurer.
Read the branch officer role descriptors to decide if any of them appeal to you or chime with your skillset.
If they do, it's advisable (although not compulsory) to attend the branch's meetings and get to know the committee you'd be joining. You'll need to submit an expression of interest by a certain date and written submissions will take precedence over those made verbally at the AGM on the day.
Booking will be available shortly. In the meantime, please ensure you have the time booked off work, and you mark this meeting firmly in your diary.
You are the RCN. Nothing will ever change unless you play your part in helping it to do so.
