We'll be visiting Royal Berkshire and West Berkshire Community hospitals on the following dates to speak to you about all this and more:

We'll have stands where you can come and speak to us, as well as presentations to talk you through job evaluation, with the opportunity to ask us about what you can be doing now and what to expect.

Why this matters
Last year, new national nursing profiles were published; these are used as part of the job evaluation process. This, in turn, determines the pay bands for all NHS roles on Agenda for Change contracts.
Your job description is a crucial part of this and needs to be an accurate reflection of your role.
The government has instructed NHS employers in England to review every band 5 job description, but this is just the start. All nursing jobs should be reviewed or have recently undergone a review against these new profiles – no matter which band you’re on.
This is your opportunity to speak to us and highlight your concerns so you feel empowered to engage with the job evaluation process.

During our visits, in addition to our staff and representatives, you'll be able to meet the pay delivery officer for your region.
South East Pay Delivery Officer Dan Marsh
Dan Marsh is one of two pay delivery officers for the South East region. In his role he supports members on pay, job evaluation, and workplace issues.
From an early age, Dan developed a strong commitment to fairness, inclusion and ensuring that people have a voice.
Throughout his career, he has worked alongside individuals and communities, helping them build the confidence, skills and collective strength needed to create lasting positive change.
Dan's passion for empowering others began at the age of 12 through his work raising awareness of neurodiversity. By delivering talks and presentations across the UK, including on behalf of the Dyspraxia Foundation, he sought to challenge perceptions, promote inclusion and create opportunities for people whose voices were too often overlooked.
Building on his experience in youth and community work, Dan became increasingly involved in organising, campaigning and community leadership. Guided by a belief that people are strongest when they work together, he worked with local communities to influence change, including serving as a district councillor and co-founding a local Pride organisation. He later brought this experience into trade union organising, supporting healthcare workers to organise collectively around pay, progression and workplace issues, including campaigns to secure back pay and improved workplace outcomes.
