Join the RCN Dorset Branch for a vibrant, in‑person CPD day focused on strengthening professional confidence, deepening leadership skills, and celebrating inclusive nursing practice. Valuing Every Voice brings members together to learn, connect, and shape the future direction of the branch.
This participative event blends expert-led sessions, peer discussion, and reflective activities. You’ll leave with new insights, new connections, and at least one clear action to take forward in your own practice.
What you’ll gain
By the end of the day, participants will have:
- strengthened their understanding of professional advocacy, job evaluation, and employment rights
- increased awareness of workplace inclusion, reasonable adjustments, and trauma‑informed practice
- developed practical leadership skills to support teams and influence change
- built professional networks across Dorset and the wider nursing community
- contributed to the governance and future priorities of the RCN Dorset Branch.

Have your say on the future of your branch
As part of the event, members will receive an update on branch activities, achievements and future priorities. You'll also have the opportunity to participate in the branch executive committee election and help shape the future direction of the branch. There are positions on the branch executive up for election and you are invite to consider nominating yourself as a committee member, chair, secretary or treasurer. Who should attend?
This event is open to registered nurses, midwives, nursing support workers, nursing associates, trainee nursing associates, health care assistants, assistant practitioners, student nurses and student midwives.
