Choose event information:
Have some laughs, learn about healthcare clowning and how to communicate creatively with your patients in this unique 'Time to...' session!
Take some time out from work to connect with your creativity, share some laughter and learn about healthcare clowning.
A practical and fun workshop led by Diane Thornton and Lucy McGreal, co-Artistic Directors of award-winning charity Hearts&Minds, home of Scotland's healthcare clowns.
Healthcare clowning offers emotional attunement to people who are experiencing unexpected, potentially traumatic situations. It’s not just for laughs! Underneath their foolish exterior, the Clowndoctors are experts in interaction. In this relaxed and supportive workshop, you will explore how your own unique sense of play contributes to your wellbeing, and how it can support you to make meaningful connections with the people you care for.
