All RCN Coventry and Warwickshire members are invited to attend their Annual General Meeting, which is being held online via Microsoft Teams and will incorporate a learning event focusing on cultural inclusion.
Learning event: Addressing cultural inclusion and demystifying the culture of shaming colleagues in healthcare
Presented by Gyeabour Mensah, this webinar will explore how we can foster cultural inclusion and challenge the damaging culture of shaming colleagues. The session will discover practical strategies to build respectful, compassionate workplaces where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to speak up and collaborate effectively.
Gyeabour Mensah is a Registered Adult Nurse at University Hospitals Dorset and a current NIHR Health and Care Professions Intern on the Clinical Academic Practitioner Pathway. He is also a Visiting Fellow working with Bournemouth University, focusing on inclusion of ethnic minority patients in Emergency Department research and strengthening links between clinical practice and academic research.
Branch Annual General Meeting
Come along to your branch Annual General Meeting, which is your chance to make a difference by shaping local branch activities for the year ahead and electing your branch committee members.
It's vital that members attend and elect their new branch executive.
Both the AGM and learning event will be held online via Microsoft Teams - to register your attendance, please book your place here. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email which includes the link to join the Microsoft Teams meeting on the day.
You will need to log-in to your RCN account before booking. If you don't have an RCN account, it's a really simple process to create one - just follow the steps provided.
Could you help lead the branch?
If you're interested in getting more involved in the work of the branch, why not consider standing for one of the branch committee posts, which includes branch chair, secretary and treasurer? Find out more about what branches do, what the branch committee roles involve, and whether you're eligible to stand.
Being a branch committee member is a great personal and professional development opportunity. You can nominate yourself for a position on the committee for 2027 by completing the nomination form before the AGM.
