All RCN North Staffordshire members are invited to attend their Annual General Meeting, which will also incorporate a learning event focusing on championing equity, representation and change in the workplace. Members can attend in person or online via Microsoft Teams.
Learning event: From voice to influence - using lived experience to champion equity, representation and change
This workshop will explore how lived experience can be used to drive equity, representation, and positive change within healthcare. Drawing on Lorraine Wagstaff's experiences as a nurse and staff-side representative, the session will highlight how individuals can use their voice to challenge inequality, support others, and influence meaningful change.
Through real-life examples from nursing and trade union representation, the session will examine workplace inequalities, the importance of advocacy, and practical ways to turn personal experience into action that improves outcomes for both staff and patients.
Branch Annual General Meeting
Come along to your branch Annual General Meeting, which is your chance to make a difference by shaping local branch activities for the year ahead and electing your branch committee members.
It's vital that members attend and elect their new branch executive.
Members can join the AGM and learning event either in person at St Augustine’s Hospital or online via Microsoft Teams - to register your attendance, please book your place here. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email which includes the link for the Microsoft Teams meeting on the day if you intend to join online. Otherwise, simply go to the venue.
You will need to log-in to your RCN account before booking. If you don't have an RCN account, it's a really simple process to create one - just follow the steps provided.
