Presented by Amy Gittins, a Specialist Gastroenterology Dietitian and Director of Wholefoods1st Nutrition Consultancy, this practical webinar will explore the gut microbiome, probiotics and gut health in modern clinical practice.
The session will cover the latest evidence around probiotics in conditions such as IBS and IBD remission, how to choose appropriate probiotic approaches based on patient symptoms, and key dietary and lifestyle factors that influence gut health. The webinar will also explore emerging considerations around gut health and GLP-1 medications, alongside practical strategies to support patients in a realistic and sustainable way.
Amy has over 10 years’ experience supporting patients with a range of gastrointestinal conditions, including IBS, IBD, coeliac disease and liver disease. She has worked across both adult and paediatric services within the NHS, managing complex nutritional needs, and has been working in freelance practice for the past year. She is particularly passionate about helping people better understand and manage their gut conditions in a practical, sustainable way.
