You’re Invited: Take part in 'Inside Home' a new art installation on migration and nursing

10 Nov 2025

Join a creative workshop and be part of an artwork featured in our upcoming exhibition on the history of migration and nursing.

The RCN Library and Museum are thrilled to be working with Manchester-based artist Haleema Aziz on a new artwork inspired by the tradition of the balikbayan box. This installation will be the centrepiece of an exhibition on the history of migration and nursing, launching on 5 March 2026.

Haleema will be creating a giant balikbayan box, with its inner walls filled entirely by artwork and personal contributions from nurses. To bring this piece to life, she is hosting a series of creative workshops in London and online, and we’re inviting all nursing staff with experience of migration to get involved.

You don’t need to be an artist—just come with your experiences, stories, or simply the desire to connect. This workshop is a fun, relaxed space to create together, reflect on our journeys, and contribute to a collective artwork that celebrates the lives and voices of nurses.

Come create, connect, and be part of something meaningful.

Workshops:

5 December 2025, 4-5.30pm: In-person at RCN HQ, book here.

14 January 2026, 5.30-6.30pm: Online, book here
