Can you contribute an object or story to our exhibition about nursing and migration?

15 Aug 2025

The RCN Library and Museum is looking for your contributions to an exhibition about nursing and migration.

International School students outside the College entrance, 1957.

Are you an international nurse or nursing support worker who has migrated to the UK for work or study? Or a nurse who has worked abroad? Can you help us tell the story of the huge contribution that international nurses make to UK health care? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

The RCN Library and Museum is looking for objects, photographs and personal experiences to feature in their upcoming exhibition on migration and nursing (due to launch at RCN HQ and online in March 2026).

We’d be particularly interested in objects or photographs that illustrate your experience of moving to the UK, or an object that reminds you of home. Or perhaps a letter or keepsake that you’ve sent back to family from the UK.

Get in touch with your contribution

If you have an object or photograph that you’d be happy to lend us for the exhibition, please e-mail audienceengagement@rcn.org.uk by Wednesday 10 September.

Please tell us about your item in a few sentences. If you have a photograph of the item, please attach that with your e-mail. A member of the Museum team will get back to you.
