Amy Hadley

Amy Hadley, BSc in Adult Nursing from Bournemouth University, Team Uro-Oncology Cancer Nurse Specialist in North Bristol Trust. Her journey in nursing commenced on a urology ward in a regional centre, where she cultivated a foundational understanding of caring for surgical patients. Transitioning to a Clinical Nurse Specialist role in Uro-Oncology at a smaller hospital, Amy discovered her interest in urology and cancer care. Here, she spearheaded nurse-led clinics for haematuria, diagnosis, prostate cancer follow-ups, and intravesical treatments, while providing comprehensive support throughout patients' surgical and oncological journeys. She also pursued further education in communication skills, supportive and end-of-life care, and cancer treatment.

Amy then transitioned to an Acute Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist position, where she honed her assessment skills, triaging treatment-related side effects using the UKONS tool, and provided invaluable support to individuals navigating cancer pathways. During this tenure, she completed a Non-Medical Prescribing course, enhancing her ability to provide comprehensive care.

Returning to her roots at the regional centre, Amy assumed leadership of the Uro-Oncology Cancer Nurse Specialists. She is deeply committed to fostering her team's growth and enhancing patient pathways, reflecting her unwavering dedication to improving oncology care.
