04 Jun 2024, 17:45 - 18:30

  • 2B, ICC Wales, Coldra Woods, Newport, NP18 1HQ
Hosted by: RCN General Practice Nursing Forum

Collaboration: RCN Advanced Nurse Practitioner Forum

The King’s Fund reported in 2022 that most clinical directors in primary care networks are GPs.
Learn how we can encourage and develop nurses to think of themselves as leaders, raising the profile and voice of the nursing profession as we move toward more multi professional working practice.

This session supports the development of nurse leadership formal and informal networks, reducing isolation and encouraging innovation and the sharing of good practice, leading to raised quality and safety standards.

During the session delegates will hear how:

  • nurses can be supported to take on leadership roles
  • we can challenge the current models of leadership
  • to build an effective network.

Aimed at nurses working in primary care, community, private, voluntary and independent sector, nurse leaders, strategic nurse leads and nurses with an interest in developing networks across organisational boundaries, raising standards of quality and safety, encouraging leadership and professional development.
