Imposter syndrome in nursing: recognising, reflecting, and reframing

18 May 2026, 17:45 - 18:30

  • Room 1B, ACC Liverpool , Kings Dock , Liverpool Waterfront , Liverpool , L3 4FP
Hosted by the Advanced Nursing Practitioner Forum in collaboration with Education Forum, and Advanced Nurse Practitioner Forum

Imposter feelings can undermine confidence, wellbeing, and career progression. Drawing on evidence from the NHSE Workforce Strategic Vision and the Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) programme, the session will offer practical strategies to recognise, reflect on, and reframe imposter experiences. Through discussion, shared insights, and interactive exercises, delegates will leave with tools to support themselves and others - contributing to a more compassionate, confident, and resilient workforce.

This session is aimed at all delegates. It is particularly relevant to those in leadership, education, or supervisory roles, including Professional Nurse Advocates, who support others in practice.
