Hosted by the Mental Health Forum in collaboration with the Women's Health Forum, the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, People and Inclusion team, and London Southbank University

Dr Ann Mitchell, the principal investigator on the GEM project will present findings from this national research to develop insight into the factors associated with career development for nursing staff from the global majority and ethnic minority (GEM). The session will identify gaps and make recommendations for further research, policy and practice.

Research was undertaken through a national survey to provide understanding of the factors influencing career progression and development among UK GEM nursing staff. The session will provide the findings, implications, and recommendations from this research.

The session is aimed at all roles, specialties and grades of nursing, especially those in managerial and senior positions who can implement the findings and recommendations.
