Choose event information:
You are warmly invited to the Humber Branch Annual General Meeting (AGM) and learning event on Wednesday 28 October.
Learning event
The learning event is an opportunity for branch members to hear from speakers on specialist topics. In October's learning event, we'll hear from Michelle Raddings, RCN Lead Nurse Independent Health and Social Care - Yorkshire & the Humber, who will be sharing about the RCN Nursing Workforce Standards and how you could become a Nursing Workforce Standards Champion.
Branch AGM
The learning event will be followed by the branch annual general meeting (AGM).
Why is the AGM important?
The strength of a the RCN is in its numbers, and each and every branch has an important part to play in making our voice heard. If you attend only one branch meeting a year, make it your AGM and help to set the agenda for you and your fellow local members for the year ahead.
Could you help lead the branch?
Your AGM is also your opportunity to elect your 2027 branch committee which comprises the branch chair, secretary, treasurer and up to three committee members.
If you're interested in getting more involved in the work of the branch, why not consider standing for election to the committee? Being on the branch committee is a great personal and professional development opportunity. Find out what branches do and the role of the branch committee.
You can nominate yourself by completing our nomination form before the AGM.
Please note that members who are elected to the branch committee will be invited to attend the RCN Yorkshire & the Humber Board Branch Development Day in Leeds on 17 November 2026, so if you plan to stand for election, please save this date.
