Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation - WIMD is the Welsh Government’s official measure of relative deprivation in small areas in Wales.

The last index was published in 2014 and an updated index will be published in late 2019.

They are consulting on what indicators to include in each of the 8 domains in WIMD. The consultation covers:
• proposed changes to some existing indicators included in WIMD 2014
• potential new data sources and indicators
• how to prioritise the potential new data sources.

Please find the consultation document on the Welsh Government website here: https://beta.gov.wales/proposed-indicators-welsh-index-multiple-deprivation-2019
