NICE has informed us that the draft guideline for Pre term labour and birth (update) and its supporting evidence are now out for consultation.  The Royal College of nursing has been invited to comment on the provisional recommendations.

Please find the short version of the draft guideline here, and see  the link for full consultation documents: https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/indevelopment/gid-ng10078/consultation/html-content

NICE would like to hear views on the following:

  • Which areas will have the biggest impact on practice and be challenging to implement? Please say for whom and why.

  • Would implementation of any of the draft recommendations have significant cost implications?

  • What would help users overcome any challenges? (For example, existing practical resources or national initiatives, or examples of good practice.)

NICE have also informed that they have not reviewed the evidence for the recommendations within the draft guideline shaded in grey. Therefore, please do not submit any comments on these recommendations as they cannot accept them.

Please use the comments form to send your comments to nice.collaboration@rcn.org.uk by Tuesday, 23rd April 2019.
