District and Community Nursing Forum

Supporting district and community nurses working to provide quality patient and family care

A week dedicated to community nursing

As community and district nursing staff, we touch lives at every stage, from caring for newborns and parents in the community, to giving end-of-life care. But not everyone understands the vital role we play.

That’s why this week we’re showcasing our diverse and rewarding areas of nursing.

We’ll be sharing content right here and on our social channels all week to raise awareness of community nursing. If you like what you see, share with your colleagues and networks.

‘I wouldn’t trade community nursing for any other type of nursing’

Shifting care to the community

Our community nursing expert Christine shares her view on why community nurses must be invested in now.

Have your say on the future of community health care

If you work in England or Northern Ireland, we want to hear from you.

Community nurses are essential to helping people live healthier lives in their communities, and government plans for neighbourhood health teams and services need your expertise.
