All RCN North West members are invited to join the RCN Cheshire Branch for a conference: Empowering Nurses, Elevating Care: Confidence, Culture and Clinical Excellence.
With support and input from RCN Cheshire Branch members, about the key themes they would like to see at the conference, the agenda has now been confirmed:
9am: Registration/Welcome/Exhibition
9.30am: Opening Remarks (Host)
10am: Keynote Speaker
10:30am: Tea break/networking
10:45am: Session 1: From Newly Qualified to Confident: Navigating the Transition in Nursing. This session will explore the emotional and professional journey of newly qualified nurses, offering strategies to build confidence, seek mentorship, and thrive in clinical environments.
11:45am: Lunch/Learning Events
12:45pm: Inauguration and awards -Awards for pre-submitted abstracts. See details below on how to submit your abstract.
1:45pm: Session 2: Civility Saves Lives: Transforming Workplace Culture for Patient Safety. This talk will highlight the impact of workplace civility on team dynamics and patient outcomes, drawing on evidence from initiatives like “Civility Saves Lives” and “Learning from Excellence.”
2:45pm: Tea Break/networking
3pm: Panel Discussion: Building a Culture of Accountability, Respect, and Growth in Nursing. A discussion featuring diverse voices on topics such as conflict resolution, feeling valued, career progression, incivility, and bullying. The panel will share experiences and practical solutions for fostering a supportive and high-performing workplace.
4pm: Closing Remarks
Call for abstracts
We are now inviting abstract submissions for our 2025 Conference, which will spotlight nurse-led innovations driving sustainable change across healthcare care and nursing practice.
What we are looking for
We welcome research abstracts that highlight:
- Innovation and development, in any area of nursing practice
- Solution-focused strategies that address current challenges in nursing
- Contributions from diverse sectors including universities, private, independent, and voluntary organisations
Who can submit an abstract?
Whether you are a student nurse beginning your journey or an experienced professional, we encourage submissions from all levels of nursing. Your work matters and we want to showcase it.
