Does your job description accurately reflect the work that you do? If not, come along to our member engagement session, specifically for HCAs on Bands 2 and 3.
In 2021, the NHS Staff Job Evaluation Group made changes to the national profiles for band 2 and band 3 health care support worker roles. The changes came in response to concerns that staff at band 2 were being trained and then expected to do work above their pay band.
All NHS employers should have already re-evaluated these roles to make sure health care support staff are banded in line with the new guidance. Concerns have been raised that this may not have been implemented fully at all trusts and we have reason to believe that there may be an ongoing issue with your employer.
Led by RCN Regional Officer Karen Haselden and Justine Somerville, RCN Officer Job Evaluation Project (North West), this RCN member engagement session will discuss what changes were made and how they should have been implemented. HCAs in these bands are invited to join us to talk about their own experiences to help us identify any areas for concern.
This event is a rerun of the meeting held on 10 March following technical issues meaning some members were unable to join.
Registration is not required for this event. Simply click the 'Join Now' button above when the meeting starts to attend.
