Choose event information:
RCN Hertfordshire members are invited to your branch learning event and AGM.
The learning event, which you can attend in person in Stevenage or online via Microsoft Teams, will include a talk from Regional Officer Steve Haynes. Steve will focus on the fundamentals of the NHS Job Evaluation Scheme, the introduction of the new nursing profiles, and the latest advice on their implementation. The aim is to build your confidence in understanding and applying job evaluation principles and to provide support to you in navigating profile updates in practice.
The session will cover:
- The purpose and key principles of job evaluation in the NHS
- The new nursing profiles and how they differ from previous profiles
- Practical guidance from NHS Employers on implementing the profiles consistently
- Common challenges in job evaluation and how to overcome them
As well as our learning event, this session will also incorporate your branch annual general meeting (AGM). If you can attend one branch meeting a year, then please make it the AGM. Come along and help make a difference, by shaping local branch activities for the year ahead and electing your branch committee members. Branch meetings provide opportunities for you to have your say on how the branch is run and learn more about the activities it undertakes.
Could you help lead the branch?
Why not consider standing for one of the branch committee posts? Being a branch committee member is a great personal and professional development opportunity. Find out more about the roles here. If you'd like to nominate yourself for a committee position, please use this form. The session will take place at The Business and Technology Centre, Stevenage, or online via Microsoft Teams and a link to join the meeting will be sent to you once you're registered. When joining the meeting, please make sure you are clearly identified with your name on screen so we can admit you quickly to the event. If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know when booking your place. If joining from a mobile device, you may find it useful to download the MS Teams app in advance of joining the session.
