Gloucestershire branch annual study day is being held at Gloucester Rugby Club to look at how we can be culturally aware as individuals in nursing and how this is constantly changing. We will be joined by some very special guest speakers.

Kam Mak who is an immigration advisor for the RCN's immigration advice service will talk about changes in immigration for overseas workers and the immigration white paper that is due to be implemented in September/October.
They will be joined by your branch executive team to discuss what the branch has done over the last 12 months as well and answer any questions that you have and what the branch and RCN should be doing over the next 12 months. The branch AGM will also be held as part of the day.
AGM and executive committee places up for election
At the AGM members will vote to ratify their local RCN reps for a further year, and vote for a branch executive committee for 2026. You are invited to express your interest in joining the committee.
There are three core roles on the executive: chair, secretary and treasurer, but you can also be the executive lead for a variety of topics that interest you such as communications, students, education, nursing support workers, EDI, and more.
Read this role descriptor and think about what role would play to your strengths. Express your interest by email to southwestern.region@rcn.org.uk in advance of the meeting.
