Stay informed about local issues and keep your branch executive team informed of anything you think they should know about.
Branch executive committee roles up for election
The following branch executive committee seats are up for election: Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. The terms of office for these positions is 1 January 2026 until 31 December 2026.
You can read a description of what the roles involve online here or you can download this role descriptor document to take away and you can also display this less formal role descriptor poster on your work noticeboard if possible, to alert others of the opportunities awaiting them if they get involved with their union.
It is vital that you submit a written expression of interest because only if nobody has put themselves forward in writing before the AGM can they do so verbally at the AGM itself.
RCN governance rules state that those who have expressed their interest in advance in writing must take precedence over those who express their interest on the day.
