Branch executive committee roles up for election
The following branch executive committee seats are up for election: chair, secretary and treasurer. The terms of office for all of these positions is 1 January 2026 until 31 December 2026.You can read a description of what the roles involve here in this role descriptor document or this less formal, slightly more accessible poster. If you want to strengthen your position please consider taking on a role or display the poster on your work noticeboard if you can to alert others of the opportunities awaiting them if they get involved with their union at grassroots level.
If you are interested in taking on a branch executive committee role, please submit an expression of interest form by at least a week before the meeting, preferably earlier.
It is vital that you complete a written expression of interest to the regional office because only if nobody has put themselves forward in writing before the AGM can they do so verbally at the AGM itself.
RCN governance rules state that those who have expressed their interest in advance in writing must take precedence over those who express their interest verbally on the day.
