Choose event information:
This is a chance not only to increase your knowledge on a range of topics such as domestic abuse, addiction, racial equality, and workplace stress, but also to support your local RCN activists by attending your branch AGM in person, learning through lived experience, professional dialogue, and discussions around representation and activism within the health care sector. Influence your branch's future - elect or join your branch executive team for next year, and ratify your local RCN reps.

Branch executive committee roles up for election
The following branch executive committee seats are up for election: Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. The terms of office for these positions is 1 January 2026 until 31 December 2026.
You can read a description of what the roles involve here in this role descriptor document or this less formal, slightly more accessible role descriptor poster - please display it on your work noticeboard if you can to alert others of the opportunities awaiting them if they get involved with their union.
It is vital that you submit a written expression of interest because only if nobody has put themselves forward in writing before the AGM can they do so verbally at the AGM itself.
RCN governance rules state that those who have expressed their interest in advance in writing must take precedence over those who express their interest on the day.
