All RCN Nottinghamshire branch members are invited to this FREE study day focusing on moral distress, workforce and patient safety.
There's a great line-up of topics and speakers, including:
- Compassion fatigue, moral distress, moral injury, emotional labour, incivility and the importance of reflective practice
Presentation by Dr Liz Walsh, RCN UK Professional Lead for Justice and Forensic Nursing, followed by a Q&A with Patricia Hughes, RCN Associate Director: Nursing Practice Academy - Compassion as a superpower for patients and staff alike
Dr Sarah Tobin, Lecturer in Adult Nursing, Exeter School of Nursing and Founding Member of the Collaboration for Compassion in Healthcare Education - RCN Nursing Workforce Standards - what are they and how to apply them in the workplace
Lena Johnson, RCN UK Professional Lead – Nursing Workforce - Workforce and patient safety: temporary staff integration into health care providers
Samantha Preston, RCN Lead Nurse for Independent Health and Social Care, East Midlands Region - Organising for effective change
Sam Harris, RCN Regional Organiser for the East Midlands Region, and Adele Williams, RCN Activist Learning and Development Officer

Registration will open at 9.30am, with refreshments available. The learning sessions will begin at 10am and finish at 4pm.
