This interactive session will provide education about diabetes technologies and what healthcare support workers need to know to provide effective support.
This event will help healthcare support workers:
- understand what Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) is
- identify the benefits and barriers of using CGM
- identify who can use CGM
- understand the different CGM devices available
- understand how to set up and remove CGM
- learn the key safety considerations for using CGM (setting and reacting to alerts, hydration, skin care).
