This webinar will support nursing staff to gain confidence and knowledge in understanding the power of physical activity in the workplace.

The RCN Public Health & Diabetes Forum is running a webinar to facilitate forum engagement and an educational session to support nursing staff gain confidence and knowledge in understanding the power of physical activity in the workplace.
This webinar will provide an opportunity for the forums to showcase current forum work and explain how you could get involved in future work of these forums.
The educational session to improve skills and knowledge in promoting physical activity for health will be presented by:
- Julia Waldron: Experienced Registered General Nurse with a diverse career in primary care, Health in Justice, and secondary care. Member of the RCN public health forum committee
- Michelle Turner: Independent nurse specialising in Diabetes and long-term conditions, currently a diabetes educator and Physical Activity Clinical Champion. Chair of the RCN Diabetes forum committee
- Jan Sinclair: Senior Healthcare Public Health Nurse, Lead Nurse/Midwife Physical Activity Clinical Champion Programme.
The webinar will cover the following areas:

- Definition of physical activity
- UK CMO PA Guidelines
- Importance of self-care
- Benefits of physical activity
- Management and prevention of long-term conditions (depression, T2D, CVD)
