As part of the Health and Social Care Service Renewal Framework published by Scottish Government, NSS and NES will merge to create NHS Delivery, a new cross cutting delivery function for NHSScotland and related services.
Scottish Government have said that this merger is critical work to reform and renew Scotland’s health and social care service and will create a new national organisation that will help NHSScotland in its mission to strengthen national delivery, drive innovation, and improve outcomes across health and care services in Scotland.NSS and NES are commencing work with Scottish Government to prepare for the formation of the new body.
RCN Scotland are committed to supporting the members who work in these organisations through this merger and will be holding an online engagement session to discuss the migration of NSS and NES. This is members opportunity to raise any employment-related concerns, ask questions about the process, and to be provided reassurance regarding our support during the process.
Also in attendance will be, Andrew Jackson, Policy Manager at RCN Scotland, who will also provide an update on our contribution to the consultation document.
