Choose event information:
Presented by Oliver Jones, a Lead Support Nurse at UK Sepsis Trust, this session will discuss the signs, symptoms and treatment for sepsis, with an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.
Sepsis is the reaction to an infection in which the body attacks its own organs and tissues. If not spotted and treated quickly, it can rapidly lead to organ failure and death.
The numbers are staggering – every year in the UK 250,000 people are affected by sepsis; 52,000 people die because of sepsis (1,000 which are children) and 60,000 suffer permanent, life changing after effects.
The learning event will be followed by a branch meeting, where members will be updated on branch activity and current campaigns and will have the opportunity to ask questions of the branch committee.
You will need to log-in to your RCN account before booking. If you don't have an RCN account, it's a really simple process to create one - just follow the steps provided.
