In June 2025 we will launch an exhibition of art by and about nurses. We'll be exploring how artists have helped shape and interrogate attitudes to nursing over the last 200 years.
We want to hear from you if you are a practicing artist or know someone who is. If you use art as part of your therapeutic process with patients whether you are a sculptor, a painter, a dancer or a poet. Or you may simply have come across examples of exciting work that illustrates the creative nature of this, perhaps the most ‘artful’ of professions. Send us details of the artwork, including pictures if possible.
Since 2014, the RCN Library and Museum, and Archive has held a rolling programme of events for a public audience, raising awareness of nursing and its history. Each series links to the theme of our temporary exhibition and includes talks, tours, performances, arts activities and more. Find out more and see upcoming events.
Our exhibition about art and nursing launches in June 2025 and will be accompanied by a lively event programme, both virtual and hybrid.
