Nurses' Day

12 May 2024

For Nurses’ Day 2024, we’ll be recognising and saying thank you for all that you do.

Let’s be clear – nursing is not a calling or a vocation. Nursing is a highly-skilled, safety-critical profession. You are experts. You are leaders. And this Nurses’ Day, we’ll be demonstrating the remarkable difference you make to so many lives each and every day.

You dedicate yourselves to ensuring you deliver the best possible care to those you care for from the moment they enter the world to the moment they leave it and every stage in between. You deserve and need more recognition.

For too long, politicians across the UK have taken nursing for granted. In the year of a General Election, there's never been a more important time for the voice of nursing to be heard.

Join us on 12 May to celebrate #NursesDay
