Hosted by: RCN Nurses in Management and Leadership Forum

Collaboration: Maguire Communication Skills Training Unit, The Christie NHS FT

Effective communication is at the heart of every interaction as leaders, its how we express our emotional intelligence, build relationships, influence and develop others. It the tool by which create inclusive environments. Where our values and actions are not aligned then it shows in the way we communicate; leading authentically requires authentic communicating skills.

Effective communication improves patient experience, increases safety and clinical effectiveness; improves job satisfaction and team working. When communication fails there’s financial, emotional, psychological costs for those involved.

This evidence-based workshop is for leaders at all levels and will explore skills and strategies to help deliver your message so it is heard, whilst listening to understand your colleague and team members’ thoughts and ideas.

The workshop utilises several facilitation methods including presentation and interactive group work.
