Choose event information:
You are warmly invited to the West Yorkshire Branch Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 16 October from 5.00-6.00pm.
This year's AGM will be held online via Microsoft Teams.
Why is the AGM important?
The strength of a the RCN is in its numbers, and each and every branch has an important part to play in making our voice heard. If you attend only one branch meeting a year, make it your AGM and help to set the agenda for you and your fellow local members for the year ahead.
Stand for a branch role
Your AGM is also your opportunity to elect your branch committee members, including the branch Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. Being on the branch committee is a great personal and professional development opportunity. Find out more about each role in the Branch Officer Role Descriptor section of our governance documents.
If you are interested in applying for a role then please complete our online nomination form here by the deadline of 9.00am on 9 October 2025. You can also nominate yourself for a role at the branch AGM, but only if no one else has submitted a nomination by the 9 October deadline. If you have any queries or questions then please contact our Yorkshire & the Humber regional team at yorkshire.andhumberregion@rcn.org.uk.
We'll be holding an RCN branch roles explainer session on 10 September where you can find out what it means to be a branch committee member and work out whether it's right for you. Find out more about the session here.
