RCN members and non-members are invited to the book launch of 'Safe Vaccine Administration', co-edited by Helen Donovan, former Professional Lead for Public Health at the RCN, and Professor Helen Bedford. Refreshments will be provided and copies of the book will be on sale.
Why attend?
This new book seeks to support nurses and midwives involved in delivering vaccination services across the UK by providing essential guidance for safe and effective practice. It also helps prepare them to respond confidently to questions from patients and the public.
Current RCN colleagues are among the book's contributors.
The book covers a range of topics related to providing safer vaccinations, including:
- Best-practice recommendations for administering vaccines in a clear, accessible format
- Practical tools to help healthcare professionals ease concerns from parents and patients
- Insights on organising immunisation programmes and running vaccination clinics efficiently.
There will also be a raffle with two books as prizes.
