System Leadership Programme

Impact and influence - a system leadership approach

The RCN System Leadership Programme will develop your understanding of system leadership, and help you to implement changes to policy and practice in your workplace.

About this programme

You will hear from influential guest speakers: current and former politicians, Directors of Nursing, Chief Executives and others, who will provide examples of policy making within the health and social care sector.

This programme is suitable for all health care professionals working at Level 8 or equivalent.

Delivery method

This programme is delivered over two consecutive days and includes a pre-course workbook and elements of self-directed learning.

Working at board level
Building readiness for political leadership     
Theory of system leadership
Day 2*
Understanding of local context

Integrated health and social care delivery systems
Practice political influencing skills using personalised case studies
